Alumni Meeting – and You’re Invited!
Freitag, 18. Dezember 2015 |
All former students of the University of Freiburg are invited to the international Alumni Meeting in Freiburg from 8 to 10 July 2016. The “Alumni weekend” offers insight into current research and teaching at the faculties as well as the opportunity to explore the new University Library opened in 2015.

Do you remember your time as a student: how you acquired new knowledge, spent long evenings at the library, and celebrated successful examinations and presentations with friends at the end of the summer semester? The Alumni Meeting 2016 is a chance to refresh your memory of this exciting time of your life. All faculties are holding a variety of events for former students on 8 July.
Rector Professor Schiewer would like to introduce the alumni one of the university’s most spectacular innovations in person: the new University Library (UB). After six years of renovations, it has again opened its doors across from Collegiate Building I. The spectacular new building provides 1700 workspaces, around 3.5 million books and other media, and a wide array of self-service amenities for patrons and runs on only 65 percent as much energy as the old building. The library’s holdings are available to students around the clock: 25 hours a day, seven days a week. Alumni are of course also welcome to use the modern UB.
Who know’s, maybe you meet some of your old friends or professors of your college days, and get to spend the alumni-weekend together.
We’re looking forward to seeing you!
